How many Runner’s World articles focus on ways to keep your running fresh? I have no idea, kind of a rhetorical question. However, my point here is that new can be good. We all have our go-to routes and races and routines. But sometimes, just sometimes change it up a bit. Go left instead of your usual right. Check out that sidetrail you’ve always been meaning to. See where that dirt road goes.
I spent a long post recently railing against races like the Mud Run, Warrior Dash, et al. I suppose these types of events fall under that. So I guess I don’t know where I draw that line. So before I lose my train of thought, let me wrap this thing up tonight.
I came across this section of TRIBE SPORTS where people can post physical challenges. 30 push-ups a day for 2 weeks, take the stairs everywhere you go for a month, and on and on. There are 24,000+ of these things. Some of seem really hard, some not so much (to me at least). Got me thinking of what challenges that exist in running. So here is my partial list of running challenges. I would love to see your contributions.
