It is my second attempt at doing some homebrew and it turned out very well, if I do say so myself. The name has its origins in the fact that I live about a block from the third mile of the Lincoln Marathon course. Not sure I will ever get to much into making my own beer, but it is really fun and kind of a joy to share it with friends after a run.
I have commented before on the relationship that running and beer have. Between the camaraderie, the goofy bets, and just some sort of relationship that exists between a brew and relaxin’, I like beer. As do many runners. I don’t need it to have a good time at races, though the best beer I ever had was after the 2007 Chicago Marathon. But something seems right. Runners World had an interesting article last month and telling stories over a pint or two never really sucks.
This is also a plug to get signed up for the Leprechaun Chase 10k. It is almost closed and is typically a fun race. Check back here soon for our prediction contest.
